Position: Sales Development Rep/Inside Sales Rep

Description:
We are seeking a Sales Development Rep/Inside Sales person as as a key member of our sales team. Based in the Alpharetta, GA area, he/she will be joining Channel Mechanics at a key point in our expansion—we have grown dramatically and are now building out the sales team. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a strong entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for building a great company and sales organization.  This position will have the opportunity to advance into an Account Executive role.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Generate leads by cold calling, lead generation activities, and networking
  • Follow up on sales inquiries from inbound emails and phone calls
  • Strong telephone and web-based demonstration skills
  • Qualify potential customers with thorough screening on initial conversations
  • Utilize CRM tools to maintain and update contacts and leads
  • Target specific geographic patches and work closely with Regional Sales Managers, Sales Engineers and Partners to ensure thorough market penetration
  • This is a startup and this position is expected to wear many hats
  • Leveraging your teammates to develop targeted lists, call strategies, and messaging in order to drive opportunities in regional areas
  • Meeting or exceed your quota
  • Staying up-to-date on email cadence and industry trends and competition
  • Recording and documenting all calls and communications in CRM
  • Monitoring social web for sales opportunities and leads
  • Reporting on weekly results, activity milestones both qualitative and quantitative
  • Strong, independent work ethic with flexibility to work both in an office and at home

Work Experience and Education:

  • 1+ years in a sales or lead generation role within software industries
  • BS/BA in a technical or business discipline is required
  • Proficient use in LinkedIn and CRM
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Successful track record of exceeding sales quotas and top rankings
  • Fun and optimistic person to work with on a team
  • Tenacious desire to succeed
