He has spent a 23-year career in sales, marketing, channel and strategy roles within IBM, Lenovo and Autotask. Most recently, as CEO of ChannelEyes, he led the startup that disrupted the social, mobile and predictive analytics software industry for channel programs.
McBain currently serves as Chairman emeritus of the CompTIA Vendor Advisory Council and Managed Services Community. As a futurist, and long standing member of the World Future Society, he is a recognized expert in channel management and strategy, the future of partnering and the study of emerging computing models.
