Marina Serio, Inside Sales Associate, Channel Mechanics

 

Marina SerioChannel Mechanics is delighted to announce the appointment of Marina Serio to our EMEA Team. Marina takes up the role of Inside Sales Associate reporting directly to our VP of Sales, John McArdle. Her role commences February 2020.

 

Born in Italy and with a passion for languages and intercultural experience, Marina started her career at the University of Salerno, Italy.  Studying Languages and Tourism Marketing, she earned a BA. After her first experience of studying abroad in Austria, she decided to relocate to London. During her time in the British capital, Marina went on to undertake a postgraduate course. An MA in Translation and Interpreting at the University of Westminster was her reward. Marina relocated to Ireland in 2015, following some time in Germany and Switzerland.

 

Her first work experience included Marketing and Sales in a German in-vitro diagnostic company. In addition to this, she performed translation and proofreading services for various translation agencies, both in-house and freelance. Over the past 10 years, Marina has branched out into different sectors including e-commerce, Medical Device, Localization, Customer Service, Software Training and Implementation and now Channel Sales and Marketing.

 

Outside of work Marina enjoys cooking, travelling and long walks by the ocean. She loves her involvement in the lively cultural scene that Galway has to offer. You’ll also occasionally find her engaging in Community Interpreting at University Hospital Galway. And in any spare time, she volunteers with Galway 2020. A program launched by Galway 2020 European Capital of Culture.

 

Speaking about her appointment, Marina commented:

What brings me here is an amazing opportunity to work on multiple projects among a cross-functional team, being a bridge between Marketing and Sales.
