As CEO of the Global Technology Distribution Council, Timothy J. Curran is responsible for the strategic direction of an international trade association that represents members with more than $150 billion in annual sales.
In this role, Curran champions the value that distributors provide to their vendor partners, solution providers and investors, while strengthening partnerships and addressing industry-wide issues and opportunities. He has been a featured speaker at industry events around the world, explaining distributors’ transformative capabilities in the wake of constantly changing business and technology landscapes.
Curran has more than three decades of leadership experience in high-tech sales, strategic planning and reseller channel management. He has spearheaded launches of the GTDC’s sales-out data collection and reporting initiatives in North America, LATAM and Europe; a comprehensive distribution education program; and he oversees numerous executive-level events, service partnerships and industry research.
